Dersolbek - Visitors

Visitors

Visitors are allowed into Dersolbek - However, they must have a recognised sponsor or place of residence during their stay in the city. It costs 1 sp per head (humanoid or animal) to enter the city. Thus a man riding a horse and leading a pack mule would pay 3 sp.

If they have a Letter of Sponsorship’ from a resident or business in the town they will be required to wait until an escort can come and collect them. The Escort signs the visitors into the city, and the gate guard gives each visitor a ‘Visitors’ Pass’

Anyone without a Letter of Sponsorship will be escorted to an Inn of their choosing and be expected to register there. Once they are registered they too will be given a Visitors’ Pass.

A Visitors’ Pass allows free access to the Gate Ward and limited access to Outer Ward. However, there are a few rules.

It costs 1 cp per head (humanoid or animal) to enter Outer Ward from Gate Ward. Thus a man riding a horse and leading a pack mule would pay 3 cp.

General Rules for Visitors

  1. No Armour to be worn in the town
  2. Knives or daggers are the only weapons that may be carried.
  3. No public spell casting
  4. Back in Gate Ward at Curfew.

Citizenship and residency is checked at every gate and there are random checks - especially after curfew. Curfew is sounded by a large gong, set high in the cliff face, at around about 8pm in the evening. Once the Gong is sounded people are expected to head back towards their own ward, about 15 minutes later the Gong is struck again to start the curfew. If you are in the wrong ward after the second stroke - you had better have a good excuse. Curfew is lifted just after sunrise the next day.
